The Art of the English Fortepiano

Join us as we unveil two early square fortepianos, both made by Georg Astor in 1789 that were recently made a part of the MusicSources collection and restored by fortepiano builder Tom Winter. On the concert are Concerti and Sonatas for one and two pianos, among the first ever written for the instrument by Johann Christian Bach and the child prodigy Mozart.

Maestro Gilbert Martinez is joined by by dazzling fortepianist Barry Lloyd and a chamber ensemble performing on early classical instruments
