The Dufay Collective:
To Drive the Cold Winter Away

Fans of early music will not want to miss this exclusive Bay Area appearance by one of the world’s most esteemed early music ensembles! This concert of music by Cornysh, Gervaise, and Henry VIII, along with dances by John Playford, and traditional Renaissance music, is sure to offer a rousing winter solstice celebration, a dazzling feast of ancient yuletide music that will banish the winter blues.

The Dufay Collective has traveled the world since 1987, and done much to popularize medieval and Renaissance music, receiving critical acclaim from Cairo to Carlisle. The group has made a series of highly successful recordings, including the Grammy-nominated Cancionero. They can also be heard on the soundtracks to films such as Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, and Shrek 3. (www.dufay.com)
